Responsibilities of the Health Department
The Department of Health is responsible for the health care of all members of the academic community of the Institution. The responsibilities of the Department include in particular matters relating to:
The provision of primary health care and treatment to students and all staff of the Institution.
The maintenance of a logbook and electronic records of visits by students and staff of the institution.
Recommending measures to the management of the institution to promote and safeguard the health of students and staff.
Ensuring the supply of the necessary pharmaceutical material and instruments, as well as the provision of first aid.
The exercise of prevention to maintain, improve and promote the health of students through health education.
To cooperate with all stakeholders in the academic community to prevent morbidity from drugs, smoking, alcohol, poor living and eating habits.
The linking of the Foundation, through the Medical Clinic, with corresponding health formations of other institutions, epidemiological and other services, the creation of mutual information networks to deal with epidemics, etc.
Pre-sport screening and the issuing of medical certificates for the participation of students and staff members in sports activities and in the sports programme of the Foundation’s gym.
